Just spotted this article on Hackaday.
DesignSpark is owned by RS Components, one of the main Raspberry Pi suppliers in the UK.
DesignSpark Mechanical is a 3D design tool that can be used for prototypes. You can even export into the 3D printer STL format.
It’s not available until 16th September but this looks like an interesting alternative to Google Sketchup. It integrates with the Allied Electronics components library which means that there are plenty of pre-made models you can import into your design. I’ve just taken a look at their site and it looks like there’s a Raspberry Pi model B model you can use.
Definitely worth a look when it’s released. It is available for Windows only but may work under “Wine” on Linux, no-one quite knows yet.
