I wouldn’t go back to using Eclipse if you paid me, that thing is so unstable and fragmented its untrue.
Oh, it’s not that bad! What do you use instead?
It is that bad. Installing it is a nightmare as there are so many different versions and conflicting instructions on both Linux and Windows platforms and you can barely use it for more than a few hours without getting Java menus all over the place…. oh and its slow 😉 But then it is written in Java so poor performance and stability go without saying 😉
What’s the alternative?
Sorry that previous post should say Java errors all over the place.
In the end I gave up using an IDE and changed to Sublime editor which turned out to be so good I don’t think I could ever use anything else again 🙂
Just watch the demo on the home page for a few seconds and you will be going “WTF?”. It takes a bit of getting used to but its so powerful once you learn all the tricks and keys…
