I saw this at CamJam and it’s a really good implementation of motion rolled into a distro image. Even resolved a samba share issue I had with motion on raspbian.
Very easy to use and I had streaming video within 2 minutes of booting up with no user input.
Only down side it must have a network connection to run. (I can’t install it in my car).

Yeah it’s good fun – bit laggy at times but I think lower resolution can help.
With the car implementation, you could get a mobile router to do that. I was using one at CamJam and it worked very well – can even power the Pi too!
Not the cheapest of things, but I know I’ll get use out of it. Some pics and specs of mine here:

I happen to be carrying around a portable hotspot in the form of my Nexus5 phone. I’ll try that.
