Adafruit have been busy updating their WebIDE development environment for the Raspberry Pi. There’s a huge amount of new stuff and improvements; these have been covered brilliantly by the Foundation over on their blog. You can find out more about the WebIDE itself by going to the Adafruit site.
Change the colour of Will’s #RaspberryPi desk
Great Internet of Things project from William Wnekowicz – you control the colour of his desk area at some date in the future by choosing from a colour wheel. It’s all powered on a Raspberry Pi running PHP and Python scripts which translate to a string of RGB lights. You can read more on Will’s blog or skip straight to the colour choosing!

Doug Roberts has built a remote controlled rover with a Raspberry Pi at its heart. It’s powered by a LiPo battery and uses an Adafruit PWM servo board to control movement. It’s featured over on the adafruit industries blog.
PiPurr – Remote Cat Interaction Server with a #RaspberryPi
Here’s a cute post from Tris on the Can’t Hack Won’t Hack blog. He’s developing a cat tending machine with a Raspberry Pi to include a webcam and treat dispenser (and more) to monitor his cats when he’s on holiday.

Freetronics teases USB LiPo charger
Here’s an interesting bit of advance news. Freetronics has just announced a new product, available soon, that will enable you to charge a 3.7.v lipo cell from a USB port via a micro USB port. Interesting… perhaps this could be used to charge cells for Raspberry Pis? Read more here
