Over at UK Tech Reviews, Spencer Organ has been developing a PiTFT touchscreen menu system using PyGame. It’s in the early stages and the buttons don’t do anything yet, but he’s shared his code so far and will be expanding on his work in the near future. Read about it here and see the code here.

New port labeller board from RasPiO for the Raspberry Pi
Alex Eames at RasPiO has just launched a new product. Following on from his successful port labeller boards for the model B, he has now launched one for the B+. It’s pretty nifty and is narrow enough that it fits inside the new Cyntech/ModMyPi B+ case. It features labels for both numerical and BCM pin numbering systems on either side of the board. Upgrading a Commodore 64 with a Raspberry Pi
John Reder has taken the shell of an old Commodore 64 and placed a Raspberry Pi inside. Using PiMAME he has emulated the C64 and now has a working system! Read more here or view the video below.
New virtual server for the blog
Thanks to advice from Daniel Bull, I’m now using Ubuntu to host the blog on a Digital Ocean virtual ‘droplet’ (virtual server).
This post is just to test things out and make sure that all the social sharing is working 🙂
