PighiXXX previously created a pinout for the Raspberry Pi Model B. They have now created a new one for the recently released Model 2 B. Take a look at it in more detail here.
Warwickshire Raspberry Jam gets underway for Raspberry Pi owners in the Midlands
Chris Penn has been working for a couple of months on starting up a Raspberry Jam in North Warwickshire. He has now announced that the first one will be held on Wednesday, 15th July. The event will run from 5-8.30pm at Nicholas Chamberlaine Technology College in Bedworth. Bitcoin mining on the Raspberry Pi made easy with Minera
Kurt Roesener has written a tutorial which gets you up-and-running doing Bitcoin mining on the Raspberry Pi. He uses a Linux distribution called Minera and takes you through downloading, installing and then using the image. Well worth a look if you want to get into this use for the Pi. Write your own Scratch game on the Raspberry Pi
It seems like ages since I featured anything using Scratch. Thanks to Pi Weekly for spotting this one.
Here’s a nice tutorial from Stuart Andrews in which he creates a nautical-themed game using Scratch. If you want to get started with Scratch, this is a pretty good beginners tutorial. Read it here.

Issue 35 of The MagPi is out now and it’s a great issue featuring lots of articles, tutorials and reviews. I won’t go into listing all the contents this time – you should just head over to The MagPi page and download it! One thing in particular to note: this issue contains information on subscribing to the print version of the magazine which will be available on 30th July priced at £5.99. Control a Raspberry Pi-powered RGB LED from your Android phone
PubNub are fast becoming a company to keep an eye on in the Pi world. They’ve produced a few articles so far that use their online service and it’s time for another one. Kevin Gleason has written a tutorial for wiring up an RGB LED to the Pi and then how to create an Android app to control it remotely, via the PubNub service. It’s a nice proof-of-concept piece, and will also introduce you to the world of Android programming via the clear code he’s written. Read more here.
