Embark Ideas launches Pi-Car remote controlled car kit for #RaspberryPi
UK-based Embark Ideas has been working to get their remote-control car platform for the Raspberry Pi to market. They’ve finally managed it and you can now buy the kits, with or without RC car, and with or without pre-assembly, from their online shop. GRASS on the #RaspberryPi
GRASS GIS is a Geographic Information System used for geospatial data management and analysis, image processing, graphics/map production, spatial modeling, and visualization. They now have a Raspberry Pi version.
New Adafruit Pi Case for #RaspberryPi
Adafruit have just announced a new case for the Raspberry Pi. Retailing for under $10, it features a black base into which you snap your Pi and a clear top half (which features a slot for a flat GPIO cable).
I did notice, however, that it’s not compatible with their microSD card adapter… which is just a huge oversight in my opinion as it requires only a couple of millimetres to accommodate it. Only a minor fail, though, and it’s certainly a nicely sculpted case. Read more and decide if you want to buy here
