Animatronics and a #RaspberryPi come together to make art
Pierre Raufast has recently exhibited a piece of artwork in Berlin during the Pictoplasma 2014 Festival. In it, a pair of animatronic eyes identify people walking past and follow them. If there isn’t anyone there, the eyes search around for someone. If there are two people, the eyes move back and forth between the two. It’s a lovely project and it’s all thanks to a Pi. School #RaspberryPi high altitude ballooning project needs help
James Robinson from Computing at School, who recently spoke at CamJam’s Focus on Education, is currently seeking help for a schools-based project he’s trying to get off the ground – in a very literal sense.
He is hoping to launch a high-altitude balloon with a Raspberry Pi-based payload from Soham Village College in Cambridgeshire in mid-July but he needs some technical assistance.

Newcastle Makerspace Raspberry Jam – Thursday 29th May #rjam
Makerspace in Newcastle-upon-Tyne are holding their next Raspberry Jam on Thursday, 29th May. It’s a very informal Jam with show-and-tell and general hacking. This is a free Raspberry Jam and I don’t think it’s necessary to get a ticket, just turn up. It runs from 6-9pm and is being held at:
